I don't put many things on my car...

... but I do put YEM on whenever I can.

My first YEM (sticker) was acquired in a lot, sometime in the mid-90s. It was that Euro oval with the YEM in the middle. I was living in Santa Cruz at the time, and bought a VW Jetta. Having held onto this YEM sticker for a few years in order to put it on the appropriate car, it was the first thing (and only thing) I applied to this gently used 1995 Jetta. A few years after, I came out of work to find a live Phish CD under my windshield wipers along with a note... an invite to a gathering. Went to the gathering, and it turns out that the person who placed that CD and the note I already knew from a mutual online chat. Had known him for years, and neither of us knew we lived (and worked) near each other.

Sometimes it's good to advertise with your (subtle) freak flag!
