At the end of 1972, Jerry Garcia stumbled upon the first guitar Doug Irwin made for Alembic, and bought it on the spot for $850. At the same time Jerry asked Irwin to customize another guitar. This was the inception of Wolf. The first version bore a peacock inlay, and later received Irwin’s eagle logo in its place. A bloodthirsty cartoon wolf sticker Jerry placed below the tailpiece served to name the guitar and is what the WOLF BADGE is modeled after.

Shipping policy

Free shipping on orders over $59.99.  Standard Shipping on orders under $59.99 is $6.95(AK & HI $7.95).   Standard Shipping ships via USPS First Class with tracking.   Orders should arrive within 3-5 business days after processing time.  Shipping to Canada is $12.95 with no free shipping option.

PREORDERS

If any of the items included in your order are "PRE-ORDER" items, then shipping will occur once the latest preorder date item is in stock.

PROCESSING TIME

Orders typically ship the next business day. During peak season (i.e. Holidays), orders may ship within two-three business days.  Orders placed Friday-Sunday will ship out Mondays and Tuesdays.   We do not ship on weekends or U.S. holidays.

TRACKING MY ORDER

You will receive a tracking number via email when your order is processed.  

POSSIBLE DELAYS

We do our best to ensure the timely delivery of all orders. When selecting our 2-day express shipping option, please bear in mind that we are only provided with an estimated delivery date from our carriers. On a rare occasion, these packages can arrive outside of the estimated timeframe.

Wolf Badge Black

I stumbled on Grateful Fred’s website in search of a similar item… saw the Wolf Badge and scored one. The fact that I’m a big fan of the band is a total bonus. It’s a sweet little piece. Not sure if it’s C&C’d or cast but regardless the detail is nice. The price was fair & it was delivered in a timely manner. Haven’t decided where I’m gonna put it yet.. but I had to make a choice on the ‘difficulty rating’ below, but it looks simply obvious..
